Celtic eagle pipe band
pipeband
We are a competitive pipe band service the greater Akron-Canton-Medina and surrounding Ohio area. We are available as a band or individually for private performances and provide instruction in both highland bagpipe and drumming.
Founded in 2005 by a group of friends who played bagpipes and drums; Celtic Eagle Pipe Band is a northeast Ohio competitive bagpipe & drum corps. The band is comprised of musicians from Akron, Medina, Wadsworth, and other northeast Ohio communities and Pennsylvania.
As a member of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA), we compete in various pipe band competitions in Ohio, and the surrounding states.
We also perform in non-competetive events, such as festivals, parades, ceremonial/memorial events, concerts, corporate events, and other public and private performances. Our goal is to provide a unique and memorable performance for our clients and their guests.
Our mission is not only to entertain; but to educate the public on the rich heritage and culture of Scottish and Irish music that has influenced this great nation. We provide music lessons to anyone who is interested in learning how to play bagpipes or drums, as they are used in this style of music…regardless of experience. Please contact us if you are interested in learning how to play bagpipes or drums, or if you would like more information about the band.
